Fluid Mosaic I (2006 - 2010) explored people's preconceptions about the distinctions between art science.  It used ideas from the fluid mosaic model of cell membrane structure to give gallery visitors the opportunity to reconsider where they thought the distinctions between  two disciplines lay.  This model allows a flexible boundary that delimits zones in a controlled but non-rigid way. There were distinctively different outcomes, and the many participants were surprised by the course of their deliberations.   Participations took place in Matt's Gallery London, South Hill Park, Bracknell, St Andrew's Church Caversham, and Battle Library in Reading. Further work on this project is developing.
