Last exhibition: Licking the Streetcar Window, Propeller Gallery, 30 Abell Street, Toronto, Ontario M6J 0A9
14 - 22 March 2020, Wed to Sat 12 - 6, Sun 12 - 5
The exhibition was a meditation on journeys large and small, and brings together new and earlier works, and was made possible by the kindness of Propeller artists.
In general my work has several strands. It often comments on the processes of curation and arts administration as a kind of social sculpture, and the perennial optimism of ideas even in the face of futility. The way history fosters a sense of place is also important. At times the joys of materiality - line, form, colour and texture - overtake the thought processes of conceptual art and run off in their own wilful directions.
